Using Contribution Analysis to Evaluate Campus Interventions Focusing on Reducing Substance Misuse

Craig Moore, M.A., Site Coordinator & Research Assistant The PROsocial Project (The Caring Campus Project), Dalhousie University

How do we know if the money we spend, and the work we do, is making a difference? One way is to conduct an evaluation of the intended process and outcomes of our project. Using the framework of John Mayne (2001), a contribution analysis evaluation allowed the Caring Campus Project to assess how the assumptions inherent in intended process and outcomes played out in reality. This session will allow for questions related to evaluation and will show examples of the framework used by the Caring Campus Project.
